Volunteering
Queenscourt Hospice currently has a network of around 350+ dedicated volunteers.
Our volunteers bring all manner of skill, experience and knowledge to Queenscourt in the pursuit of providing our patients and families with compassionate palliative care services. Indeed, in the 12 months prior to the pandemic, Queenscourt volunteers committed to 104,000 hours of volunteering for the hospice.
During the course of the Coronavirus pandemic, our volunteers have remained resolutely dedicated despite restrictions being in place, and ever mindful of the very great need of their support and continued services.
In 2021, our exceptional volunteers were presented with The Queens Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS), the MBE for voluntary groups, by representatives of Her Majesty The Queen, here at Queenscourt. We couldn’t be more proud!

Become a Volunteer
We have many Volunteer positions within Queenscourt and are always interested in hearing from you if you think you may be suitable! Please have a look at the list below and see if you could help us. If you think you can, then please call our volunteering office for further information about whether there are any vacancies and suitability.
We suggest that people who have been personally bereaved wait for a minimum of 12 months before applying to Volunteer at Queenscourt to allow for a period of grieving.
