Are you a Health Professional? We have useful links and information in our Education section that may help.
We hope that you and your loved ones are keeping well.
Like you, #teamqueenscourt are dealing with unprecedented times as the Coronavirus pandemic continues.
On a daily basis we are striving to maintain our vital services and to continue supporting our patients and their families.
Over the last year, it has felt like the world has come to a standstill. But at Queenscourt, our work cannot stop. Whilst we all adjust to social distancing and self-isolation, our incredible team of nurses, doctors and support staff continue to deliver first-class care to local people with life-limiting illnesses, across West Lancashire, Southport and Formby.
We have implemented a robust hospice continuity plan, which includes the best possible health protection measures based on the latest information from the World Health Organisation, National Health Service and Public Health England. We are working side by side with our teams of health care professionals, support staff, volunteers, patients and families to ensure everyone’s safety.
We are all facing an incredibly challenging time, with a lot negativity and fear about the current situation, but we have also seen acts of great kindness and compassion in so many areas of life. Encouraging a culture of Compassionate Communities is at the heart of everything Queenscourt does, and this philosophy of caring as a family member, friend or colleague for others in need, has never been more important.
Once you have taken care of yourself and your loved ones, please may we ask you to remember your local hospice, as we need your kindness and support more than ever.
Due to Coronavirus, we have had to take the unprecedented step of permanently closing some of Queenscourt’s retail shops and postponing key fundraising initiatives that would normally have taken place, including Make A Will month and Star Trekk, our annual night walk. This has resulted in a significant loss of income for Queenscourt, which as a small local charity with a big reach, has hit us hard.
We would therefore be most grateful for any support that you can give us at this challenging time in the form of a regular or one-off donation.
