Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a medical treatment.
Decisions regarding whether CPR will be attempted, and is an appropriate treatment, is individual for every patient and their circumstances.
These decisions will be made by a medical team. However, it is important that patients (and those important to them) have the opportunity to be involved in conversations and decisions about this, if they so wish.
This leaflet has been written to help patients, families and the public understand what CPR is and to support anyone to have conversations with your medical team.
