Queenscourt Hospice Appoints New Executive Director of Strategy & Business Development.

Queenscourt Hospice is delighted to announce that Sam Hawksley has joined Queenscourt as its new Executive Director of Strategy & Business Development.

Sam will take over from Debbie Pierce-Lawson, Executive Director of Corporate Services, who will be retiring in March.

With a strong background in leadership, Sam has already held key management roles here in the North West and in London.

Sam has served as Chief Executive Officer of several charities including mental health, voluntary sector infrastructure and music in prisons.

He also has experience working for a local authority, public sector consulting and community music. When not at work Sam enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, sport and trying to make bread!

Sam said: “I am delighted to be joining the team at Queenscourt, and I look forward to getting to know and work with the staff, volunteers and trustees.

“Living locally I know the excellent reputation the hospice has in our local communities, supporting individuals and families with high quality and compassionate care. I am excited to build on the fabulous work so far.”

Debbie Pierce-Lawson, Executive Director of Corporate Services, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sam to our team as Executive Director of Strategy & Business Development.

“Sam’s leadership and management experience, as well as his connections to the local community, make him very well suited to this important new role, and we look forward to the valuable contribution he will make to our charity.”

In his new role, Sam will be responsible for Queenscourt’s overall future strategy, Non-Clinical Support Services, Education and business development.
