From the recent announcement made by the Hospice, I understand that they are being forced to consider reducing the vital Specialist Palliative Care services they provide for patients and their families across West Lancashire, Formby & Southport, during the most financially challenging times they have ever faced.

• Escalate this pressing issue to the Secretary of State.
• Contact the Government Minister responsible for the issue or make an appointment to see them
• Ask questions in Parliament (‘Parliamentary Questions’ or PQs) about the public funding crisis that Queenscourt Hospice is facing.
• Ask for a debate in Parliament about this funding crisis, which is also relevant to numerous other hospices across the country.
• Any other actions of support you see fit with local and regional statutory and other agencies

I would be grateful for an urgent response on this and in your response, I would like you to outline the ways in which you intend to address this on my behalf. If you’re unable to address this personally, I would like to request that you escalate my letter to the relevant Minister or department.
