Bank Healthcare Assistant (Queenscourt at Home)

Queenscourt at Home provides additional support in a patient’s own home, often at very short notice, for people, who are seriously ill or approaching the end of their life and have requested to be cared for at home.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a range of patient care duties with or without direct supervision from qualified staff as well as assisting qualified staff in providing high quality standards of palliative care for patients and their relatives. The post also involves operating as a lone worker caring for patients and patient’s relatives in their own homes.

You must be able to demonstrate empathy and communicate effectively about death and dying with patients, families and health professionals. The applicants must have experience of working within the community and possess NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent.

The successful candidate(s) will work alongside the GP, District Nurse and existing community services to enhance the services currently available.
