Stepping Stones offers a variety of options including an evening meeting, held on the first Tuesday of each month for those who have been bereaved of patients in our care, or a daytime appointment for a face to face or telephone conversation. This gives an opportunity to come back into Queenscourt, some six to eight weeks after the loss, and meet staff, ask lingering questions and express emotion.

Remembering Evenings: We hold two remembering evenings, both on Tuesdays, one closest to the longest day in June and one closest to the shortest day in December to offer family and friends an opportunity to remember those who have died, in prayer, poem and song.

All are welcome to come, but we invite especially those who have lost loved ones within the previous six months. All their names are read out and we celebrate their lives with readings, song and music. It is completely non denominational and there is a printed booklet which you can use to remind you of the readings.

Our most recent service was held in June 2009 where we placed flowers around a beautiful bowl, which was specially commissioned and donated by Barbara Jones, in memory of Norman Jones, who was Mayor of Sefton in 1992/93. In the December service we place lighted candles instead of flowers.

We made a short video of the candles around this lovely bowl and if you CLICK HERE
it should play for you on your computer. Allow a little time for this to download
