Our Queenscourt at Home service has now been up and running for a whole year now providing help to people in West Lancs, Southport & Formby who have a terminal illness and wish to be cared for at home at the end of their lives. The service has been comprehensively assessed and its effects reported on by Edge Hill University's Evidence-based Practice Research Centre. It makes for interesting reading. The team work alongside already existing community services and other agencies, and they have been busy from day 1 providing day and night sits, accompanied transfers to home and rapid response in the event of a crisis.
A celebratory lunch was held at Queenscourt to mark the success of the pilot project.
Our photo shows the co-ordinating team of (L to R) Anne, Heather, Jane and Helen on the front row with some of our Queenscourt Aides, who provide such a good service out 'in the field'
