Carnival 2008 The Southport Carnival was held this year on Saturday 28th June 2008 and was again superbly organised by the Southport Champion newspaper. Our float this year was provided, as usual, by Chris and Sue Shaw and a great big ‘Thank you’ is due to them. If anyone thinks it’s an easy job to decorate a 40’ articulated trailer then think again. Chris and Sue manage to come up with a different look every year and work like the clappers to achieve it, and this year we came 2nd in the judging!!
