Queenscourt Hospice provides first class in-patient,             

out-patient and day therapy care for those with far advanced,

progressive and incurable disease (mainly cancer related). 

¨ It costs £1.5 MILLION per year to run Queenscourt!

¨ We receive only a third of our costs from the NHS!

¨ We charge NOTHING for our services!

People are just SO generous, and we are VERY, VERY grateful. A typical case is the 4 lads who lost their Dad here and just wanted to help out by raising some money. So they decided to take a bike made for 4, and ride it all the way from Lands End to John o’Groats. They made it with your support and so can we.

So far, £56,000 has come in from about half the walkers who took part. It looks as though all the effort was worth it. WELL DONE! And don’t forget what that money means to us and our patients!

Flushed (!) with our success last month we were given another chance to shine on Saturday 9th August. It’s just a pity the sun didn’t do the same! More WET teams from the day!

Referrals for Queenscourt’s services can only be made by the patient’s GP or Consultant to Dr Karen Groves via the West Lancs, Southport & Formby Palliative Care Services referral form or by telephone.
