NVQ awards at Queenscourt

Our 'Investors in People' accreditation is not just a plate on the wall, it's something we take very seriously. To our super team we say ' It's YOU who give our excellent services, who maintain our excellent reputation, and present our public face to large numbers of people, both patients and otherwise' so we say a big 'thank you' for your efforts.

We are constantly training in all sorts of areas to help our staff do their jobs better, and those efforts were recently recognised when Karen Taberner, NVQ assessor from Preston College came to visit us and present the NVQ awards in cleaning and food hygiene.NVQ awards 2010

Before you smile at the idea of a qualification in cleaning, remember the circumstances here require that our patients have the best possible care and that can involve quite complex routines to ensure they are looked after without risk of infection. But it is all done with a good dose of humour even when the boring bits have to be done!! Well done all of you!

And in the kitchen, we prepare food for patients who can't swallow, who need special diets, or just need tempting with 'a bit of something special' and, again, these challenges are met with imagination and real feeling that they are 'making a difference'

If I sound biased, it's because I am. These special people(and there are lots more!) make up the special place that is Queenscourt.

Thank you and well done.

John

3. We charge NOTHING for our services!

They are FREE to all who need them!

4. Only through the generosity of LOCAL people are we able to provide the services so badly needed by our patients.
